Hypersonic Metallization, H.M

Hypersonic metallization (HM) combines the advantages of arc spraying and high velocity oxygen fuel spraying with compact high efficiency propane-air mix combustion. Two wires with an electrical potential are brought together and are melted by means of an electric arc. The molten metal is atomized and propelled by high velocity flame and compressed air. The velocity of jet is 1200 - 1500m/sec and the particle impact velocity is speeded up to 500m/sec. Hypersonic Metallization can have both the high efficiency of the Arc Spray and the high quality of the HVOF
