· Anti-corrosion / Anti-rust

Anti-corrosion: In order to prevent corrosion due to high temperature corrosion, chemicals, seawater, water, etc., a thermal spray coating is applied to the surface to impart corrosion resistance.

Anti-rust: Rusting is the essential method due to when rust occurs on the metal surface, oxidation on the surface is accelerated. Therefore, in order to prevent rusting of metal by oxygen, moisture, carbon dioxide, etc. It is coated on the surface of product and structure, and it is cut off from rust-generating factors.

· Heat resistance / Wear resistance

Heat resistance: Heat resistant coating is applied to the surface of the product to withstand high temperature of 300 ℃ ~ 1,000 ℃. Parts and facilities such as engine parts, gas turbine, boiler tube, superheater, refinery etc. which are mainly exposed to high temperature environment and so on.

Wear resistance: The abrasive problems that arise across all industries are a major factor in reducing product efficiency and durability. To prevent this, metal compounds such as Tungsten Carbide, Cr3C₂, and Inconel are used to impart abrasion resistance properties, which dramatically increases the efficiency and lifetime of the product.

· Protection from Electromagnetic Impulses, Antibacterial Coating, Protection against Radiation

Protection from Electromagnetic Impulses: To protect electronic control systems from electromagnetic radiation and prevent external exposure protective screens and special metal housings are used. The latter option cannot be used for small aircraft since the metal casing significantly increases the weight of the entire system. It is well known that metallic coatings are the best protection against electromagnetic radiation and can be used without significant weight increasing. The coating thickness can be adjusted to protect against low frequency electromagnetic radiation.

Antibacterial Coating: To insure that the products remain fresh and do not carry a threat to health, refrigerators with the function of antibacterial protection have inner walls coated with the silver(Ag). However silver is too expensive. Copper(Cu) has the same effect as silver and is not expensive. We can be safe from bacteria with coating copper.

Protection against Radiation: It is possible to prevent gamma ray, X-ray and thermal neutron flux using a technology of flame spray composite coatings based on ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with a high concentration of metal containing filler. Coating with mixture of polymer and boron carbide using Polymer Flame Spray Unit can reduce neutron radiation by 75%.

· Overlay Welding

Overlay Welding: It is applied to industries requiring high corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance in high temperature and high pressure environments such as power plants and petrochemicals. It protects base metal in extreme environment by welding to base metal with thickness of about 1mm or more. Particularly, because of perfect fusion with base material through welding, the bonding strength is excellent.
